what a great experience..

it was a short journey.. our pair(me n jan) were defeated in the first round again chinese pair..
i dunno y, but it seems that everything that we did on the court dont go well..
services, drop shots n smashes were not good enough..
maybe the anxiety was our main problem.. (darah gemuruh)
so, nothing much can be done..
but we did play for the best as we can...
we did give some big fight for the opponent pair even we're losing..
the game ended in a straight set matches..
the points were 21-18 and 21-7
second set was not a good game.. too many unforce errors..
quite dissapointed with our performance.. but we still enjoy the game..
maybe we'll try to compete again next year..
n hope to perform better..

SWITCH ON THE LIGHT PLEASE!!
can u imagine a badminton hall with lights problem?
this problem has become a serius matter as the only place that students are allowed to play badminton at anytime they like.
there is another hall to play, but need permission from JANA NIAGA.
JANA NIAGA is the authorities that in charge of building UNiSEL.
UNiSEL management is still owing some amount of money.
therefore JANA NIAGA has the power to control something..back to the real prob..
the lights prob in IPIS badminton hall..
IPIS is Sport Center for students.
the lights used in the hall are spotlights.
when the heat is to high, the bulps will blow off and make the hall dark.
when this happened, the cost of repairing the lights took almoust thousands ringgit.
moreover, these kind of lights are also not suitable for badminton hall.
this is because, the lights will disturb the eyesight if the player accidently look up straight to the lights.
the prob did not end only from the lights..
there is also another prob related to the hall..
the doors and windows allow the sun light come direct into the hall.
the used of sliding doors and untinted windows are not suitable..
sun light also disturbs the sight of the player during the game..
the UNiSEL's management need to do something about this..
they shud change the lights to lot of normal house lights which normally used in other badminton halls..
at the same time, they must do sumtg about the doors n windows..
either tinted them or change them all..
this prob will end if management really do their job..
as a students, we r customers..
n as customers, we're alwys rite at anytime...

Badminton: Top seeds Lin Dan and Chong Wei struggle for wins
IT was the last but, definitely, the most anticipated match of the day and Lee Chong Wei almost broke the hearts of the local fans at the Bandaraya Stadium.
Yesterday, the country’s top men’s singles shuttler had to come back from the brink of defeat to tame China’s Zhu Weilun 17-21, 21-16, 21-6 in a 48-minute battle.
Close call: China’s Lin Dan makes a backhand return to Vietnam’s Nguyen Tien Minh in the second round yesterday. Lin Dan won 19-21, 21-14, 21-16.
There were anxious moments when he was trailing 1-5 and 8-11 in the second game but the second seed came up with the goods to claw his way up to level at 12-12 and 15-15.
Then, spurred on by the fans, Chong Wei stepped up a gear to force the rubber, winning it 21-6 to seal the match.
Today, he will take on Thailand’s Boonsak Ponsana in the third round.
Boonsak had earlier dashed Yeoh Kay Bin’s hopes of strengthening his claim for a place in the Thomas Cup Finals by beating the Malaysian 21-10, 21-13.
Chong Wei attributed his poor start to his inability to read Weilun’s game. The two last met during the Asian Junior Championships in Japan eight years ago.
“I was 18 years old when I last played against him. He is hardly sent out for international tournaments.
“Now, his game has changed a lot. I knew it would be tough but he certainly surprised me with his improved performance,” said the 26-year-old Chong Wei.
“I was not used to his style of play and took a while to get into rhythm. I knew that I needed to break his rhythm and, fortunately, I managed to do that when I was tied at 15-15.
“This is not the start that I had expected. But I promise I will bounce back with better performances. I want to keep my unbeaten record against Boonsak.
“Hopefully, I will be able to reach the semi-finals for a possible meeting with Bao (Chunlai of China),” added the 2006 Asian champion.
Besides Chong Wei, three other Malaysians – Wong Choong Hann, Mohd Hafiz Hashim and Tan Chun Seang – also made it to the third round.
Choong Hann, who hurt his finger during a hard-fought 21-17, 21-14 win over former Asian junior champion Kenichi Tago, said he expects a great fight against Chen Yu of China today.
“I have a good record against Chen Yu although it has been a while since we last met. It is going to be an interesting match and I expect it to go down to the wire.”
Hafiz, who snuffed out a fiery challenge from his younger compatriot Mohd Arif Abdul Latif with a 21-16, 21-17 win, will take on Chunlai today.
Chun Seang, the nation’s top back-up shuttler, also has a tough task today as he will take on South Korean Park Sung-hwan.
Said national singles coach Misbun Sidek: “The matches will only get tougher from now on. It will be tough for the players who are facing Chinese opponents but we hope for a good showing from the Malaysians.”
Meanwhile, top seed Lin Dan of China also got off to a jittery start. He came back from a game down to beat Vietnam’s Nguyen Tien Minh 19-21, 21-14, 21-16 to set up a meeting with Singapore’s Ronald Susilo.

What is the best for me? Playing or Coaching?
My entry today is still about badminton? But this time, it's not about my game, but almost like my part time career. huhu.. am i suitable to be a player? or can i be a coach?
I dunno wut all of u are thinking.. but as my experienced goes by in the past 2 3 semesters, i think i can be a coach. hehehe.. why i said like that?
First of all, i can say that, i'm still a player. and i think, now i have my own unofficial team at UNISEL. whereby, in the team, there're classmates n a few juniors. Some of them like to play bdmnton however, they dont have a basic skills of a player. so, as on of the expert(lost in the first match) in the team, i help them n give them tips on how to play badminton. and i'm very impress that all of them managed to learn in a short time.. with some more helps from other friend like usin who knows about badmnton, they can play better than they used to be in the past.
And in the UNiSEL's badminton tournament ended today, some of them managed to reach semi final and also final.. for the women double team, nad n ili, they managed to win third place. and for nik aiman, who play with one of UNiSEL's player in men double, won 2nd place. Unlucky 4 me, my journey was not as easiest as them. i've met the winner of the tournament in the first match. there are also some other teammates that played in the game, but they were also unlucky as me n usin..
So, i think, other than playing badminton, i also have the ability to be a coach.. am i good or not? hehehe.. =P
My teammates : Hanif, Usin, Ilyas, Ramesh(seldom play), Ijan(new), Khudri(new), Syafiq, Aiman, Azim, Kirin(new), Nad, Ili, Nasha(new), Qis(new) n etc.. others come to play so oftenly..
Badminton Tournament
As i mention last night, i'd badminton tournament today(1st March 2008). And as mention b4 also, the game wasn't as good as i wanted.. In the first round, i met first seeded double players.
Our game started in the afternoon; around 2.30pm. b4 the game started we'd bad luck.. the court that we're supposed to play didn't have a good quality net. it just a cheap net(rm10 mybe). and this effect our morale a lil'bit, especially usin. but our game still continued as scheduled.
During the game, i was really trying my best to get a good game play. and i think i'd do it as good as i could. maybe bcoz of my wrist injury and the psychology's effect on both of us, we cannot win the match. Both of us lost 21-12, 21-14. but it's not a bad game. in some how n some way, we'd the chance to control the momentum and the pace of the game. huhu.. but luck is not with us.
Mybe next time luck will be on our side.. therefore, no retreat, but to try again next time.. we'll make it a better performance in the future, Insyaallah..

What a Bad Drawing Session!!
I'm very frustrated today.. Just an hour ago, there was a drawing session for badminton tournament.. I took part in a badminton tournament together with Usin for men double games that will be held tomorrow morning..
However, when the draw has been made, i'm very disappointed with the committee of the tournament. Even the committee are students of Industrial Management, however, their event management were not good. They are all sucks.. The draw was really unfair.. Unfairly drawn, Usin n me were scheduled to meet 1st seeded players in the 1st round.. So sad n disappointed..
But nothing can be done, they are the committee.. So, both me n Usin must do our best to play the "bestest"(ms hamtaro's word) game in trying to win the game. If it is not our luck, nothing we can do.. just do our best.. caiyok2.. caiyok2 Usin.. Let's do our best..

Badminton
Last Tuesday i went with my friends to Pertama Kompleks. We want to buy badminton racquets and a basketball.. I was not feeling very well that day.. but all my friends want
ed me to accompanied them to choose the suitable racquet.I then followed them and when i was in the shop, i also bought a new racquet (YONEX NC TUFF 9 LIGHT) to replace my broken racquet. it's quite expensive but i feel really comfortable with it. i've not try to play with the racquet yet becoz since i bought it, i've a lot of works and dont have time to play badminton.. maybe next week.. huhu..
Ok, now i want to share with all of u my assignment.. essay that i must write for one of my subject this sem. it's an essay about badminton and its rules.
Badminton and its Rules.
Have you ever heard about badminton sports? How badminton being played? Badminton like game was known in ancient Greece and Egypt - a game called battledore and shuttlecock - in which two players hit a feathered shuttlecock back and forth with tiny rackets. The game was called "Poona" in India during the 18th Century. In the 1860s it was adopted by British Army officers stationed in India. The officers took the game back to England, where it became a success at a party given by the Duke of Beaufort in 1873 at his estate called "Badminton" in Gloucestershire. This game must be based on some rules regulated for the game. The three most important rules are basic aims, serving and scoring.
The first important rules which related to badminton games are the basic aims. One of the two opponents of badminton player must win a rally by hitting the shuttle over the net onto the floor of the opposing side’s court. One of the players will lose the rally if the player hit the shuttle into the net or the shuttle went over the net but outside the opposing side’s court. The player also will lose the rally if the shuttle touches the player’s body or clothing, or the player hit it before it crosses the net, or the player touches the net while game is still playing.
Another important rule in badminton games are serving. The service courts are slightly different for singles and doubles. A shuttle on the line will be called "in" which mean the player will get a point. The server and receiver stand in the diagonally opposite service courts and always in right hand court at the start of the game but after the serve, both players may move anywhere on their side of the net. The server must obey laws designed to force underhand delivery of the serve, and the receiver must stand still until the service is struck.
Finally, the most important rules are the scoring. Matches comprise of the best of three games. Each game starts at 0-0 and if the serving side wins a rally, it scores a point, and serves again but from the alternate service court. If the receiving side wins the rally, the score will be given to the receiver and at the same the time will take the next service according to the points the player have collected. In both men's and women’s singles and doubles events, 21 points wins a game. However, if the score reaches 20-20, the game will be called as deuce. The first who get two clear points of the opponents will win the set.
These three rules, basic aims, serving and scoring, are very vital in playing a badminton game. These may lead to a fascinating and full of sportsmanship for both oppositions teams. With all those rules, badminton surely is a fair and enjoyable game to be played by everyone in the entire world.
